Amy Braddock & Brian Fenimore: Class of 1984 & 1985

I met Brian my first day of high school in 1983 in Mrs. Sylvester's American Family class. For those who have not heard nor had her American Family class; the first quarter was about personal health & hygiene, the second quarter was about life after school. The second quarter was the best. You had a pretend adult life. You got married, had a child (an egg), got a job, had to pay bills, balance a checkbook, & learned about grocery shopping. Each class decided how to get married. Meaning did the boys ask the girls, did the girls ask the boys, or did you go by the luck of the draw. Our class decided to go traditional and had the boys ask the girls. Brian asked me to marry him & I accepted. We had a son (egg) named Evan & I cannot remember our jobs.

We had a great time in her class. We dated all 3 of my high school years. Brian graduated in 1984 & went to the Marine Corp in November of 1984. He came back home for my graduation in 1985 & proposed to me. We got married in Las Vegas on our way to Camp Pendleton on August 26,1985. We will celebrate 40 years of marriage this August! We have lived in Cheyenne, WY for the last 35 years. I am an accountant & have owned my accounting business for 26 years. (Thank you Mr. Rolls for being an excellent teacher & role model!!) After working for 16 years on the North Slope of Alaska as a fire suppression technician & firefighter, Brian started High Plains Fire Protection. We have 2 children, Zach & Jordyn & 3 spoiled dogs. No grand children at this time. Who would have guessed 42 years ago, that a high school class would have played such a catalyst in our lives!! Curious, are there any more couples who got married in her class & are still married to this day?
