"I am a proud member of the Class of 1971.  We celebrated our 50th class reunion during our 51st year out of school due to the pandemic.  Classmates traveled from all over the United States and one of our exchange students even made the trip from Germany.  For those attending, many fond memories were shared and more memories made.  I am very proud to have grown up in Scottsbluff and to have attended Scottsbluff Public Schools.  The valley has a way of becoming a strong part of who we are and who we want to be.  Many of us, myself included, went away to spread our wings after high school, then came "home" to enjoy through more adult eyes, the beauty of the people, community and panhandle as a whole.  I will always be a Bearcat to my core." - Shelley Thomas
