Jordan (York) Potthoff & Koy Potthoff: Class of 2015

Jordan York and Koy Potthoff first met in 8th-grade choir class when Koy moved from Kearney, NE, to join Scottsbluff Public Schools. They quickly became close friends, bonding over shared interests and easy conversation. Jordan was an avid golfer, and though Koy had played when he was younger, he found himself taking a renewed interest in the sport—perhaps inspired as much by the game as by the girl. The two spent countless hours practicing and playing golf together. By their sophomore year, their friendship had grown into something more, and they officially began dating; Jordan was 14, and Koy was 15.

Their love story continued throughout high school, and when it came time for college, they chose to continue their journey together in Omaha. Koy attended Creighton University, while Jordan enrolled at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Both competed at the Division 1 level in golf. After college, they tied the knot at Bayside Golf, overlooking Lake McConaughy, surrounded by family, friends, and many lifelong classmates from SBPS. Their next chapter led Koy to Creighton University School of Medicine, while Jordan earned her broker’s license and has built a career in commercial real estate. Today, the Potthoff’s share their home with two beloved dogs—Fletcher, a Small Munsterlander, and Archie, a German Shorthaired Pointer. They continue to enjoy the things that first brought them together: spending time with family and friends, golfing (of course!), hunting, and traveling. As they celebrate a decade since high school, Jordan and Koy look forward to many more years of love, adventure, and lifelong memories to come.
